We specialize in being mindful of all shapes, desires and sizes of each renovation. we bring and provide services that compliment every new, current, and past client alike.

OUTDOOR PATIO — FROM INQUIRY TO CONSULTATION

Once the inquiry is received, an in depth questionnaire will be sent your way! The questionnaire will help us understand your design needs, and prep us for a consultation. The consultation is the time where we spend time (often 1-2 hours) getting to know you, hear about your goals and visions for the project, and walk the spaces you desire to be involved. We will also discuss important details about your lifestyle and budget. Often times, we will also take measurements and review swatches during the consultation to get a good foundation for the project underway. The goal for the consultation is to provide you with a full scope overview of what it will be like to work with Kate McKay Designs and also provide you with plenty of professional tips that to proceed smoothly in your renovation.

The Design Consultation….

After we receive your inquiry, our services begin with a $350.00, 1-2 hour In-person consultation. we will view your home and provide detailed suggestions and discuss the overall desired vision of the space. At the close of the consultation you have the option to either implement our ideas on your own or make the decision to Hire KMD to fulfill Your renovation needs.

Full Service Design

If you’re within 1 hour of Annapolis, Maryland our full service design package is for you. Kate Mckay designs will provide an inclusive experience that includes Flat Lays, 2D Mood Boards, SPATIAL planning, and Sourcing from the market’s most exclusive design brands. As your designers we work alongside the industries most qualified, reputable and certified professionals equipped to take on renovations from the foundation up. The unpredictability of a Full home REnovation isn’t possible to price, so for this service we bill hourly. A Full SErvice Design package does not include contractor costs or furnishings. The Initial cost of this service starts at $5000.00 (price does not include initial consultation). To sum up our full service design package; simply leave your design implementation dreams to us!

Starting your renovation…

After our initial walk through the next phase of the proposed renovation is our MOod Board Development Phase. Once our Mood Board contract is confirmed the process of crafting each individual board will proceed. WE will develop each space with curated flat lays, and 2-D Digital Mood Boards derived from our sourced Furnishings, Feedback during the consultation and planning to establish the overall design of your renovation. Our Mood Board investment starts at $250.00 per Half board, and $350.00 per full board. Half or Full Boards are determined by the Square footage and needs of the space. The Mood Boards include two rounds of edits per individual board.

Bringing on the team…

After your approval of the MoodBoards and Design Plan, it is time for you to meet the team that will assist us in bringing your project to life. After selectively choosing the best fit professional (s) for your project we will walk through your space and within 2 weeks our contractors will provide a detailed estimate as well as a KMD design proposal will be presented. If necessary 3-D renderings will also be provided.

Delivering the goods…

Leave us to do this stage! The contractors have closed out their work and put away their tools, its time for us to deliver our design plan. Furnishings will be delivered with care, placed and positioned; and we will accessorize and style your home for its finished look.

The Revealing…

The hard work and hours of planning is brought to life and the finished look will be ready for you to enjoy. During this stage of the process we will have our photographer snag photos of your space to be highlighted in our portfolio and streams of social media.

E-DEsign

Surfing the West Coast or sailing the East, then E-Design is perfect for you.

If you reside outside of our 1 hour Travel range, Our E-Design services include an exclusive virtual Zoom experience that will address your home for the entirety of the project. E-Design is a virtual 1-2 hour consultation where we will tour your home and discuss your design goals, For a flat fee of $350.00. From you, we will collect measurements, 2-3 photographs, and the unique details that you desire for your renovation all from the comforts of your home. It’s extremely important throughout the consultation phase that we get to know you personally in order to design your space parallel to your personality and style. Once you’ve committed to our E-Design proposal, relax as we create your design, custom color plan, and circle back within 3-4 weeks. A calendar invite will send you to your 2-D Digital MOod Board and Clickable links for shopping. the implementation of the design is up to you! The cost of this service is $1500.00 per Room (price does not include initial consultation).Estimated time of this renovation is 1 month.

E-DESIGN DETAILS

To adequately plan your renovation, after our initial consultation, we offer multiple opportunities to revise your mood boards and visual floor plan until we reach the full upgrade potential. You will be provided with clickable links to retail design agencies and utilization of our trade pricing to elevate your space. 2-D Digital Mood Boards and Visual Floor Plans to upgrade your room will be provided as well as unlimited communication throughout the Duration of your 1 month renovation.
